The Reflotron Applicator
The following photographs show how the Reflotron applicator is used with the Accutrend Lactate or Accusport lactate analyzer.

Blood has been
collected in a capillary tube
The capillary tube is then inserted into the Reflotron applicator

tube is held over the test strip and the button at the top is pressed down to push air through the capillary tube and the blood is then forced onto the test strip |
When the strip is
covered with blood the analyzer can then measure the lactate concentration
in the blood. |
These steps must be accompanied by proper blood handling techniques!
